Hey guys!
I’m sorry for the no blog post last week but I couldn’t post
as I didn’t have any access to the internet for the entire week. But not to
worry, I’m back! This blog post is going to be my Girl Online book review (as
you could tell from the title)
So, moving onto the actual book review. This book is right
up my alley. I love the writing style that this book has, it kind of shows us a
little bit of the author (you know, since Zoe is a blogger and she experience
panic attacks). I related a lot with Penny – who is the main character. Just
like her, I’m extremely clumsy and I too experience a fair share of panic
attacks incidents. It’s kind of nice to have a character that I can relate too.
For me, finding a character that I can relate to is very difficult and having
to find one in Girl Online is quite comforting.
I must say, this book is a good read during
December/November or Christmas time in general. Most of the mushy mushy scenes
that I like in this book happens during Christmas and New Years’ time so it
only seems appropriate to read this book during that time. I may also be bias
because I read this in December and even though I don’t celebrate Christmas, I
felt a lot more festive after reading this book.
In general, I’m giving this book a 4/5 rating. I can’t wait
to get my hands on the second book (Girl Online: On Tour). I read the first two
chapters of it since I bought the paperback version which has the first two
chapters of the sequel. Highly recommend this book, especially for those
readers who love the mushy teenage love stuff and for those readers who feels
like they are alone when it comes to panic attacks.
